This week (Monday to be precise, but I was too busy being sick and writing a novel synopsis to mention it) marks eight years on LiveJournal. It's hard to believe. Since March of 2004, when I joined, I've had three books published, edited a fundraising anthology, ghostwrote two non-fiction books, been nominated for three different literary awards, sold six short stories and probably two dozen non-fiction pieces, wrote monthly pop culture columns for two popular genre websites that unfortunately went under, bought my first home, and got married.
Not bad. I should remember to look at this blog entry whenever I have my annual "What have I done with my life?" freak out, also known as my birthday.
