What a shame. I was really enjoying this show. It was repetitive, yes, but only because it was still finding its feet and hadn't fully developed its internal mythology yet. But it was slick and well produced and tended to be well written too. In other words, there was a great deal of potential here.
A witty, globe-trotting, espionage action-adventure spearheaded by TV and film wunderkind J.J. Abrams and featuring two likable, talented and unbelievably attractive leads in Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw sounds like a formula for instant success. I'm not sure what went wrong, exactly, or why retina torture like $#*! My Dad Says and Outsourced have been picked up for a full season while Undercovers was not. I'm just sorry to see it go.
