International Bon Vivant and Raconteur
Big Love just keeps getting better and better with each season. What I once thought of as a second-tier HBO drama has lifted itself to near Deadwood heights. I'm especially happy that they're focusing so much on the creepy Juniper Creek compound stuff this season. I always thought that was the show's strongest element.
And on Flight of the Conchords, Mel and Doug sang! MEL AND DOUG SANG!
Nooo! tell them to stop. Its hard enough finding time for a real life already without any more shit hot TV being produced.
Give in! Surrender to the majesty of TV!
Yeah, I have. I was lying about the real life bit.
Big Love is really the only drama I care about on TV. (When people say "BUT TV IS GREAT, JO!" I wonder if we're watching the same TV ;p). Sadly, I no longer get HBO, so I have to wait for the DVDs.
You are going to love this season!
While its relevant and in the headlines, Mormon compounds are good fodder
I'll have to say I don't like it when ANYBODY but Bret and Jemaine sing
that show gives me nostalgia, because they film 3 blocks from where I used to live. The store they hang out in front of and the New Zealand Consulate (and in the Chinese restaurant, from the last episode) all filmed around the East Broadway exit of the F train
Nobody sings as well as Bret and Jemaine, that's for sure!
I think I've recognized a background building or two as well, though I don't spend much time in Chinatown.
I had to pick Dorian up from work during Flight of the Concords. It was the first time i watched it cos I keep hearing how good it is. I saw the begining of it. Dorian and I got back just at the ending of the West side story spoof which was fun since he was in wss a couple of years ago.
Oh, Big Love is soooo juicy right now!!! Though I'm not crazy about that ana plotline.
I so totally didn't know Heroes was back last night. I'm secretly guiltily hooked on the Bachelor for some bizarre reason.
The West Side Story bit was genius!
I KNOW I KNOW!!! Mel and Doug sang!(Well, Doug come to us from the world of musical theatre, it is about time) AND MURRAY DANCED!!!
Also, you are so right about Big Love. That's one damn fine show. Damn fine.
Sorry for turning into a cavelady there for a moment. DOUG COME TO US FROM MUSICAL THEATRE. Bah.
I demand more singing from Mel and Doug! And also more fan art!
