First Brad Renfro, Now This... [Jan. 22nd, 2008|05:12 pm]
International Bon Vivant and Raconteur
Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence, and police said drugs may have been a factor. He was 28.

Addendum: I appreciate the phone calls and text messages, but Ledger and I weren't friends. We only interacted a handful of times at the video store. Though now I'm strangely glad I forgave his late fees the last time I saw him.

Is He Your First Famous Dead Patron?

I know, that's a weird question. But I remember my first famous dead patron. The little demon child/little person from the soap opera PASSIONS. I sat him on Producers. Not even three tenths as cool as yours though.

They're saying playing the Joker was, in a way, driving him mad -- that he couldn't sleep more than two hours a night after he started playing him. It's really interesting when acting a part affects an actor that stronly. Sad, in this case, but kind of fascinating, too.

Re: Is He Your First Famous Dead Patron?

The first one that I'm aware of, yes.

As for the Joker role driving him mad, well, I think it's early enough that all such rumors should be taken with a big grain of salt.
