[Tags|, , ]

I'm excited and honored to announce that my novella Chasing the Dragon (ChiZine Publications) has been included as part of the Bram Stoker Awards' Preliminary Ballot, in the Long Fiction category! This isn't the award's short list, it's the long list, which means now the HWA's voting membership will determine which of these works will become actual nominees on the Final Ballot. Fingers crossed!

In the meantime, if any voting members would like a PDF of Chasing the Dragon for review, please feel free to contact me directly at nkaufmann AT nyc DOT rr DOT com.

Win Free ChiZine Publications eBooks! [Feb. 1st, 2011|06:07 pm]
International Bon Vivant and Raconteur
The good folks at ChiZine Publications are running a contest where you can win free eBooks of their titles. And all you have to do is review one of their books!

To participate:

1) Write a review of a ChiZine Publications book on Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk or GoodReads. It doesn't even have to be a positive review, so long as it's an honest assessment of what you thought of the book. Let's say you hate my novella Chasing the Dragon with the passion of a thousand burning fanboys and want to let ChiZine Publications know what a mistake they made by publishing it. Why not turn it to your advantage with the chance to win a free eBook at the same time? Now you're cooking with gas!

2) Submit a copy of your review through the form provided on the contest page at http://chizinepub.com/review-contest/.

3) Keep doing it! You can enter as many times as you like with reviews of different ChiZine Publications books, or the same book on different sites!

Reviewers can submit as many reviews as they post on Amazon or GoodReads in order to be entered into the monthly draw for free eBooks. The number of prizes available per month will increase as the number of entries increase. At the end of the year, there will be a draw of all entries over 2011 for an annual eBook subscription to ChiZine Publications.

Yup, you read that right, an eBook subscription!

More info on the contest can be found here.
