International Bon Vivant and Raconteur
Good news, everyone! On Wednesday, February 16, 2011, Laird Barron (The Imago Sequence and Other Stories, Occultation and Other Stories) and I will be reading at the KGB Bar as part of the Fantastic Fiction Series, hosted by Ellen Datlow and Matthew Kressel. Coincidentally, this is just five days before my birthday, and getting to read with Laird, a good friend and someone I consider one of the very best horror writers working today, is the best birthday present ever!
Copies of Chasing the Dragon should be on sale at the reading. If we're lucky, my Gabriel Hunt novel Hunt at World's End might be available too, but with all the wackiness happening at Dorchester Publishing right now I'm not holding my breath that the booksellers will be able to get any copies. However, there might be some copies for sale of my Bram Stoker Award-nominated novella General Slocum's Gold, and some other surprises, too!
So if you're in the New York City area and want to hear two horror writers bring some Halloween magic to counteract the February doldrums, be sure to catch our reading at the KGB Bar on Wednesday, February 16, 2011.
And if you're very, very good, I'll hop on Laird's back and ride him around, just like at the end of his story "Old Virginia"!
