My January "Dead Air" column is now live at The Internet Review of Science Fiction. In this season of "Top 10 Books of 2009" retrospectives, I decided to do something a little different and write a "Top 10 Horror Books I'm Looking Forward to in 2010" list instead. Enjoy, and feel free to let me know if there's anything fabulous I may have left off the list.
Also, as many of you know by now, the sad news is that The Internet Review of Science Fiction is closing shop. Next month, February, will be their final issue, and my final column for them (though the site as a whole will remain up and archived for at least a year). It's been such an honor being part of the IROSF family these past four months, and I'm saddened that my time with them has been cut short. They're good folks, and I wish all of them well in their future endeavors.
And so it is with no small amount of sadness that I find myself asking once again if anyone knows of any magazines, websites or newspapers looking for a monthly horror column that's basically just me mouthing off about what's good and what's not-so-good in the genre. As it was with "Dead Air"--and its earlier incarnation, "The State of the Genre" at Fear Zone--my only requirement is that it has to be a paying gig. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have!
