Tony Snow Died

Tony Snow has died at the age of 53 after a long bout with colon cancer.

Snow, as you may recall, was the anchor of "Fox News Sunday" and a conservative political analyst for the Fox News Channel who decided to do exactly the same thing he was already doing at Fox for the White House instead, except for less money, by becoming Press Secretary in 2006. He famously left the job in 2007 claiming he needed to make more money than the government was paying, since he had children about ready to enter college. Quite telling about the skewed priorities of the American economy, actually.

Snow was a better man than Ari "[Bill Mahr's post-9/11 comments that got him fired from ABC are] reminders to all Americans that they need to watch what they say, watch what they do" Fleischer, Bush's first Press Secretary, and more stubbornly loyal than Scott "OMG, you totally lied to me!" McLelland, whom he replaced in 2006. He was not as cute as current Press Secretary Dana Perino.
