So I've got this friend, see? He's a comic book geek. Like, big time. He knows everything about them. You could mention MODOK and he'll know what you're talking about, which is a lot more than most people -- myself included. He eats, drinks and breathes comic books. Has ever since he was just a tyke. He's also an award-winning novelist, and you can see the influence comics have had on his fiction: fast-paced, lots of action, very visually oriented prose.
And just recently he landed his dream job. He pitched an idea to Marvel, it was accepted, and I think the hardest thing he's ever had to do was sit on that news until the official announcement that came just today.
His blog used to be syndicated on LiveJournal, but then he had to go and change everything around, and the syndication was lost. Or so I thought. Just tonight I discovered some kind soul had created an LJ feed for his new blog a while ago, only whoever it was, he or she didn't tell anyone.
So I'm telling you now.
