Well, that was fucking awful. It's only the first episode of the fourth season and I already feel like proclaiming the creative death of Doctor Who. The plot felt like a thinly veiled reworking of the pilot for The Sarah Jane Adventures. The little "fat babies" were ridiculous. And Catherine Tate...well, a little goes a long way with her. Donna was fine as a one-off comic foil in the second Christmas special, but I can't imagine an entire season of Donna episodes. Though I will admit it's a nice change for the Doctor to travel with a woman who doesn't want to stick her tongue down his throat.
With all that said, though, the scene with the blonde woman in the crowd toward the end was killer, and I'm excited to see how that plays out down the road.
