[Current Mood |God, I'm old]

I may have gone to college ten years after this song came out, but hearing it has always reminded me of my college time. I wasn't a goth. I listened to a lot of Sisters of Mercy and Joy Division, sure, but I never dyed my hair black or painted my nails. I did, and do, wear a lot of black, but that's really because it's so slimming. And also because I am dead inside. Anyway, here's your Friday flashback.

White on white translucent black capes
Back on the rack
Bela Lugosi's dead
The bats have left the bell tower
The victims have been bled
Red velvet lines the black box
Bela Lugosi's dead
Undead undead undead
The virginal brides file past his tomb
Strewn with time's dead flowers
Bereft in deathly bloom
Alone in a darkened room
The count
Bela Logosi's dead
Undead undead undead
