International Bon Vivant and Raconteur
The Halloween season is my favorite time of year for a variety of reasons: little kids in cute costumes, the "spooky" Halloween episodes of TV shows, The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror (even though it hasn't been all that good in years), the ghostly decorations everywhere. The list goes on.
Another thing I like about Halloween is the big horror DVD sales! I belong to the Columbia House DVD Club, and though I haven't bought anything from them in ages, they pulled me back with those three magic words I cannot resist: HORROR MOVIE SALE!
I bought a bunch of 'em for super cheap. I think the average price was $6 (and one of them was even free because I bought more than four titles). Woohoo! Check out this haul:
Audition: Uncut Special Edition
The Thing From Another World
Wes Craven's New Nightmare
The Serpent and the Rainbow
Poltergeist: 25th Anniversary Edition
House of Wax (the Vincent Price one)
The Exorcist III
Dead Alive (Peter Jackson's second best film after Heavenly Creatures -- eat it, Frodo!)
I guess I know what I'll be doing instead of writing that novel!
