International Bon Vivant and Raconteur
I got hit up this week by Stephen Jones asking me to be part of the programming at this year's World Horror Convention in Toronto. Here's what I'll be doing:
THUR 10:00-11:00pm (Simcoe): THE CARE AND FEEDING OF YOUR WEBSITE AND BLOG
My website is pretty much shit, so I'm guessing he asked me to be on the panel because of the popularity of this LiveJournal. Which means big thanks to all you readers who make my blog so lively! I did a panel like this once before at Necon, moderated by Douglas Clegg, who was perhaps the best moderator I've ever paneled with. He really did his homework beforehand, even asking me questions about the bookstore I used to own and operate back in the late '90s. I don't know who's moderating this one, though. Anyway, I'm looking forward to talking about blogging in front of all the people I routinely criticize in my blog!
FRI 8:00-10:00pm MASS SIGNING
I'll be there along with the other eight-thousand writers in attendance. Bring something for me to sign, like a copy of the out of print Walk in Shadows, or Cemetery Dance #54, or City Slab #7, or The Best American Erotica 2007, or hell, maybe some old quickie antho I was in during the early '00s. Extra points if it's the original DarkTales Publications edition of The Asylum, Vol. 2: The Violent Ward!
But for the love of God, ladies, please stop asking me to sign your chests. It embarrasses me, and you don't want to see me blush and laugh like a dork, do you?
