Long Live the KGB!

An extremely fun time at KGB Bar last night, with sarahlangan and Paul Whitcover reading for the Fantastic Fiction series. I think it was only the second or third time Sarah's done a public reading, and she blew the room away with her confidence and delivery. Of course, it helped that she also brought homemade chocolate chip cookies for everyone.

It was also nice to see people I don't see very often, like Kris Dikeman, Michael Henderson, ktempest, shunn, meritahut, Rhodi "The Hawk" Hawk, J.T. Petty, Dave Wellington (we're scheduling another zombie movie night soon, this time with the new DVD of Cemetery Man - woot! - let me know if you're in the NYC area and want to join up), and plenty of others. (Also, Gavin Grant's cute little groupie girls.) The readings are always fun, but the real good time comes afterward at the Chinese food restaurant - even though they neglected to give my table fortune cookies, thus confirming my sneaking suspicion that I have no future.

I normally work Wednesday nights, which is a drag because I hate to miss KGB night. shunn's up next month; I'll try to get the night off again for that one.
