In Soviet Union, Zombies Run From YOU!

Tonight was Zombie Movie Night at Dave Wellington's apartment. I brought over DVDs of Fulci's Zombi 2 and The Beyond, neither of which Dave had seen before, being a Pittsburgh-bred Romero fan. Much pizza and Corona later, and we were having a ball poking fun at these movies' utter lack of logic and plot coherence. I also brought Umberto Lenzi's Nightmare City, the only movie I know of where zombies pilot airplanes and shoot machine guns, but after the Fulcifest it was already midnight and we were pretty zombied out.

I'm so glad I got to meet Dave and his wife Elisabeth at the World Horror Convention this year. It's great having writer friends in New York, but there's something inexplicably extra-special about having horror writer friends here. You can never have too many of those!
